“Jenny's home is large, comfortable and everything was very organized, clean and easy to manage. We had a very relaxing stay in this interesting area at the end of May and two in our group of 4 swam each day! The highlight was the trip to the poor Knights Island to snorkle and dive, the tourists on the dive boat were so excited by the prolific, colourful fish. Thank you Jenny for sharing your home for this excellent LHS holiday. Maureen”

Jenny's reviews
As a host (5)“Fantastic location, outstanding property, awesome hosts! Could not have been any better!”
“I'm going to start by adding some bonus stars to every category. Jenny"s place is hard to overstate, the home is, quite literally, a dream home, let alone a dream second home. The pictures don't lie, but they also can't convey the comfort, everything from the couches to the kitchen, the decks to the outdoor dining options, the interior matches the impressive exterior. Then there's the beach, a shorter walk than the length of a rugby field, or is it pitch? This beach must have been missed by those folks at National Geographic on their photo quest for the "top ten" beaches of the world. When you drive the entire coast of New Zealand, as we did, and you still remember on or two stand out beaches, you know it's something extra special. You need to see it, feel it and swim it to get it. Jenny also had the easiest Kayak storage and launch set up I've seen. Two Kayaks on a dolly, balanced so one person can wheel it across the side street and down a gentle grass ramp, and there you are, in a crystal clear river, paddling up along the mangroves or down to the hidden inlet at the end of the beach. We paddled upstream and saw hundreds of fish, and a beautiful large stingray as well as birds of all type. The unusual thing about this river, at least for me, was the fact that I could always see the bottom, good for novice kayakers and anyone who feels nervous not knowing, what's down there. Please take a walk to the little corner store just one block away, I got the best fish sandwich of our trip there, along with a pretty good flat white and some essentials for the home and kitchen. The next village is at most a ten minute drive, Tutukaka, where we dined between nights of BBQ at Jenny's. Tutukaka, it a yachting harbour, with some excursion boats for diving or snorkeling or fishing which we did ans highly advise everyone to do. My wife is not a great swimmer, so the crew had a special floating board with a viewing glass. Just another bonus of staying at Jenny's Matapouri castle of comfort. ”
“A LITTLE SLICE OF PARADISE A beautiful house a few steps away from a picturesque white sandy beach. Close bye is a little shop where you can buy most basics and have a coffee and take away fish and chips. Would recommend Schnapper Rock restaurant for wonderful fish. We loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer. Denis and Hilary ”
“Its a lovely house in a stunning location. The views from the deck are to die for and only a short few minutes to walk to one of the best beaches we think on the Island. The house is comfortable and spacious. We felt very privileged to have had the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful place. ”
