About our home

Hello,
This is a warm and comfortable home wth the sound of the sea and the sight in winter of the snow capped Southern Alps.
It has a covered patio off the lounge.
Air conditioning units, heat pump keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer.
Accommadation
Master Bedroom has a Double bed, down duvet and electric blanket
and ensuite bathroom
2nd Bedroom: Queen bed with down duvet and elect. blanket
3rd Bedroom: Single Bed, down duvet, shares with the computer
Broadband/wireless A second full bathroom and seperate toilet
Lounge and Dining open plan.

I am Dorothy, I grew up in New Zealand and then like most of us headed off overseas, and remained in fabulous CapeTown for the next 30 years.
Returned to NZ twenty years ago and started an importing company. Travelling around NZ opened my eyes to the beauty of this country. Now retired
and enjoying everything around me in this little bit of 'Paradise'

Where is it?

One minute from the house is the seafront with distant views of Nelson. Delightful walking on the sea edge track, when the tide is out the sea birds arrive in their hundreds, Royal Spoonbills, Stilts, Oystercatchers, Herons, Godwits etc. along this coastal road, five minute walk from the house you will discver an excellent 18 hole Country Golf Link. 12 minutes drive north to the golden sands of Kaiterteri. a two minutes to Marahau and then Abel Tasman National Park. .
A drive over 'the Hill' to Takaka and magnifient Golden Bay with its startling golden beaches and blue water, perfect bays for swimming.
Takaka is a fun place to shop and enjoy the many coffee and tea shops and local artand crafts shops
Nelson is 45k drive good highway; 2.1/2 hrs to Marlborough Sounds and Picton
Cinemas.. a visit to the Gecko Theatre is a must; gyms and lovely walks around the Estuary waterways and on the way stop at one of our great outdoor Cafe's
Motueka is a thriving rural town. fresh fish from Tally's fisheries, large agriculture area, apples, Hops, kiwi fruit, berries
