About our home

Our lovely home was built in 1935 and has been tastefully modernised to a very comfortable standard. We have a large open plan kitchen with breakfast bar and fireplace. Electric appliances. Separate dining room. Two cozy lounges, one with gas fireplace and both with cable TV. Two bedrooms upstairs, a queen and a double with third being used as a study. Every room in the house comes with majestic views! Outside there are three outstanding sitting areas, each wonderfully inviting. There is also a gorgeous little guest cottage w/ shower, fridge, micro, that sleeps two. Overlooking Tahunanui Beach, we have a short four minute walk to all recreation, tennis courts, outdoor gym, and also to many great restaurants and other facilities. Views are a visual symphony....mountains, sea, planes, the ships, tugs, yachts, the para sailors and occasional dolphins! Magic.

More about us

  1. My husband Darryl (74) is a retired marine engineer, has travelled the world, hence the desire to observe shipping from our windows! He dabbles in yacht model making and RC racing while I, Paulette (68), am a retired florist, these days pottering in my challenging three level garden. We are good, honest, responsible, respectful people and would treat your home as our own. Our neighbours on all sides are simply wonderful too!

Where is it?

Nelson is a tourist destination magnet. Gorgeous Abel Tasmen National Park is a must for hikers but the entire region is a walkers paradise anyway. Surrounded by gold medal vineyards....take your pick, they are within minutes drive away. The city centre offers a diverse range of interests, the arts, museum, tours and an amazing all around vibration.
