About our home

We retired here in 2014 and renovated throughout. The living area and master bedroom open onto the deck where you can sit all year round and enjoy the garden while watching the ferry, the yachts and the seabirds. If you can drag yourselves away, Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and the Kaimai ranges are half an hour away. Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo and the Coramandel peninsula are all within two hours or so.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Omokoroa is a gentle harbour suburb, with just a few shops and cafes and a small library and medical centre. Pleasant to walk around with views at every corner and friendly folk to chat to. Tauranga is half an hour away with a full range of shopping and dining options. Mount Maunganui is forty minutes away, a popular holiday spot with ocean beaches, pubs and cafes.
