“We've just completed a great family exchange with our New Zealand counterparts. All the arrangements went like clockwork, including being met at the airport with our exchanges' car. Having satnav was a great bonus as it took us straight to the house with no hassle and then enabled us to go everywhere else that we wanted to go in South Island with ease. The house is very comfortable and came complete with Polly, a delightfully-friendly cat who rapidly became a firm favourite with all of us. Being situated about 20k north of Invercargill, this was an excellent base from which to explore all the major sites in South Island, from Bluff in the very far south to Te Anau, Lake Wanaka, Dunedin, Queenstown and of course, Milford Sound, which is worth the flight on its own. Most places were within a couple of hours drive and the roads were mostly deserted so driving was really stress-free. The only traffic jam we encountered was composed entirely of sheep! We also had the use of our exchangers' holiday house which was much appreciated and gave us the opportunity to experience some of the wonderful coastal scenery, and to see penguins, seals and albatrosses in the wild. A wonderful holiday, so many thanks to our exchangers, who also left our house immaculate. Highly recommended.”
