About our home

We have designed and built this home ourselves on six acres of land. It is very private and has sweeping views of Kapiti Island, a renowned New Zealand bird sanctuary. The setting is close to native forest and very leafy and tranquil. The house is modern, high quality and large, with five bedrooms and three separate bathrooms (en-suite for the main bedroom).

More about us

We are Paul and Angela, a professional couple, an economist and health professional, in our fifties with two adult sons. We want to enjoy more travel and experiencing new parts of the world, but especially Europe.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The Kapiti Coast has a mild maritime climate and a laid back seaside feel. We are five minutes drive from beautiful beach and river walks, and there are excellent local supermarkets and restaurants. The property is 50km from the capital, Wellington City, accessible by car or train and offering a wide range of dining and entertainment options. Wellington is a small but compact, quirky and fun city and a great destination in its own right. Further afield there are wine making areas, ski fields, and other great places to visit like geothermal areas.
