About our home

Our home is on a 9 acre semi-rural lifestyle property. The fully renovated 1880's homestead is set amongst a landscaped garden, with an easy flow from all rooms out onto the veranda. Large French doors open up from the living room to the outside dining area to enjoy a bar-b-que and a glass of local Pinot Noir with friends. The house is warm with heat-pumps throughout, a modern kitchen and two en suite bathrooms. Some of the features of rural life include a small flock of sheep, chicken coop and large vegetable garden. We live approximately 3 km's from Martinborough township, which is a picturesque wine village, and only 1 km from the local golf course.

More about us

  1. We are Penny and John, a married couple with three young school age children. John is a Management Accountant and we both enjoy food, wine and getting out and about. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident, and allow someone to see ours. We would like to correspond first in order to get to know our fellow exchangers to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the New Zealand.
