About our home

This is the home we have bought up our family in who have now moved away. It is a relaxed peaceful and sunny country home with plenty of room and a tennis court and outside hot pool (or as we call them in nz, a spa pool) Up the hill we sometimes have sheep grazing in the paddock, there are a few plum trees in autumn, wild blackberries down the drive, a number of rabbits running around along with quail and a few other birds.

It is ideal for extended families with three separate indoor living areas to suit Granny and Grandad or children, or a family with a few extra guests.

The house is on 3.7 hectares with mature trees and lawn and is ideal for a holiday in any season.

In the shoulder season there is a heatpump in the main kitchen living area and electric underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
There are three wood fireplaces: A jetmaster in the main living, a woodbox closed fire in the den and an open outside fireplace in the enclosed BBQ area and a plentiful wood supply.

In winter there is a diesel heating system for radiators throughout the home and underfloor heating in the tv room and living room kitchen area.
We don't turn the main heating on until it is cold by Queenstown standards, so it you are wanting to have radiator heating on in the shoulder seasons when we would normally just use the heatpump and underfloor heating in the bathrooms and a fireplace, then we can discuss activation if required.

The open plan kitchen has everything you need for family dining and with a ten seat dining table inside or outside with an umbrella it makes for an ideal house for fun and entertainment in the sun or the rain!

There are two bedrooms which share a bathroom downstairs, ( one Superking , one Queen ) and on the upper level three bedrooms and a bathroom, ( Superking, Queen, KingSingle) and also a spacious master bedroom with its own ensuite, dressing room and balcony overlooking the lawn. ( Superking)

We are situated only 15 minutes from the airport , Queenstown, Arrowtown, or Lake Hayes you are right in the centre of attractions of the Queenstown area – over 100 restaurants, wineries, numerous walks, four golf courses, riding, fishing, white water rafting, jet boating, bungy jumping and all the other adventure activities this area is famous for. It is 20minutes from the door to the carpark at Coronet Peak ski area! It is a great location in an established rural area.

This year , 2021, there will be times that we are renovating different areas of the home and so it will be a bit hit and miss for swaps. Along with COVID restrictions, it is not looking like a busy swap year as we only intend to travel within New Zealand and possibly Australia, but there is nothing like a change and being empty nesters, we are a lot more flexible with holiday times so please contact us if you think we should come and visit your part of the world!
