Peaceful Retreat with Beautiful Harbour Views

Raglan is a unique slice of New Zealand heaven.

A relaxed atmosphere, superb waves and rugged landscape makes Raglan a popular destination for artists, surfers and local weekend holiday makers alike. Raglan’s bohemian atmosphere and idyllic coastal setting makes it the perfect spot to while away an afternoon browsing amongst the boutique cafes and shops, lazing on the beach or exploring the harbour. The harbour provides a tranquil spot for kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or a harbour cruise or if it’s the wild untamed nature of the west coast you’re after there is plenty of that on offer too, either on foot, on horseback or on a fishing boat. While inland, Bridal Veil Falls, which plunges 55m, is an inspiring sight when you take the walk to the pools below.

Our beautiful family home is located on the inner harbour of Raglan on a quiet road, with elevated stunning views and in a private, quiet setting. Our double storey home has a unique feel with large windows to capture the sun and harbour views. A short stroll takes you to a small bay. This is our main residence so it is geared up for family living. It would work really well for 2 couples and up to 6 children. The dining and living rooms are spacious and comfortable, with wooden floors and even an indoor swing for the kids! The kitchen has a lovely view out to the deck and harbour.

A large deck looks out to the harbour, with beautiful views and Tui birdsong in the trees, is a great place to relax in the hammock. A smaller deck at the entrance of the house faces the flat lawned area with herb garden, sandpit and outdoor shower. It is a 5 minute drive to local village, with delightful cafes and art galleries. There are also superb bush and ocean walks all within close distance of our house. Take the winding path down to the harbour walkway for a leisurely stroll around the bay.

Getting around - there is a shuttle and taxi service available in Raglan to take you throughout the town and local beaches or drive you to the airport. We are approximately 45 minutes drive from Hamilton Airport and 2 hours drive from Auckland Airport.
