About our home

This modern holiday home was built in 2016 and is truly something special. The home has been built in a 2.5 acre abandoned quarry and the location is truly unique. The birdsong, peace, landscaping, and location make ‘The Quarry’ a truly special place to visit. As it is a holiday home the dates of a swap can be flexible.

2hrs south of Auckland lies the buzzing beachside town of Raglan. Here, all walks of life collide and make Raglan the vibrant community that it is. From surfers, to artists, eco warriors to travellers, Raglan has them all. With multiple surf breaks, a patrolled surf beach, a quiet harbour, mountain biking tracks, and a golf course to name a few, Raglan really does have something for everyone,

Buzzy restaurants
There are pleanty of buzzy restaurants in town. Our favourites are Rock-it, The Shack, and the Wharf Fish and Chips. Orca Restaurant is also worth visiting for an evening meal.
Cool bars
Raglan Pub, Yot Club... but Raglan is not really a big party town.
Cozy cafés
Rock-It, The Shack, and the Raglan Roast coffee shop in town or Te Uku for the best coffee!
Retail therapy
There are pleanty of gift shops on the Main Street. Tony Sly pottery is also situated at the Wharf if you enjoy pottery!
Bit of culture
Just visit any public area in Raglan and you are sure to experience culture!
Walks in the park
The Raglan Info Centre in town is the best place to get info on walks in the area. From a short stroll to a 10hr hike, there are a multitude of options for the avid walker!
