About our home

Our sunny and warm family home has three bedrooms: the master bed. Has a semi ensuite and looks over the front garden and enjoys lovely morning sun, the other two bed. Look over our extensive back garden and entertaining area, and enjoy full afternoon sun. We can accomadate your needs with what ever bedset up you require. The bathroom has underfloor heating, separate shower and heated towel rails. The living areas are split by a few steps. The dining and kitchen are open plan and enjoy views over the front garden through the large bay window. It is warm and inviting, enjoying morning to early afternoon sun, and brightens up the start of your day. Down the few steps is a large lounge area which flows straight onto the deck and grass lawn. Huge 40 sq metre deck with gas bbq, flows flat onto an equally enormous landscaped garden and lawn. Lush tropical plantings surround the section. The 50 plus year old oak tree is the perfect place to enjoy to enjoy the shade on those hot summer days, or to take a swing from the tractor tyre underneath. For the kids there is lots more to move onto: the large trampoline, sandpit and outdoor black board. All of this will be looked after by a gardener/lawn mowing man. There is a single garage, and plenty of osp. We have lots of childrens toys and bikes to use, as well as car seats/push chairs/high chairs etc can be neg. The home is situated on a quiet cres. with a chn's park and beach access off our road, or just a five minute walk to Red Beach.

More about us

  1. My wife and I are kept busy by raising two preschoolers: Anna, our three year old girl, loves the outdoors and climbing trees, and Jack, our one year old, loves anything that makes noise, and tries hard to keep up with Anna! In our spare moments we run two companies, a scaffolding and a construction company. My wife, Teresa enjoys reading, gardening, and walking in scenic areas. I, Nick, enjoy all the water has to offer and snowboarding. We both enjoy sleep but don't get enough of it! We have worked hard to create a nice haven here in our home, and would strive hard to look after yours. None of us are smokers. We are ideally looking for a long term swap for 8 - 9 months. However we will look at anything 1 month or more. Please email us.

Where is it?

Red Beach is part of the Hibiscus Coast, a beautiful coastal area just Nt of Auckland City (the largest city of NZ pop 1.4 mil). Only 25mins from the city, the HBC has the advantage of being close enough so one can experience all the city has to offer, as well as enjoying rural countryside, 14 beaches within a 15 min drive, and the more relaxed pace of a seaside area. In the local area there are movie theatres, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, fashion shopping, snow centre, luge and go carting centre etc. Within a 5 minute walking distance from the house itself, is a small shopping complex with fast food, corner store, hairdresser, dvd store, liquor store, petrol station, pub and pharmacy. In the other direction, also within a 5 min walk, are 3 sep. children play areas/parks, and 2 beaches (Red Beach and Orewa). Red beach is approx. 1km long and quiet enough that often you can walk the length of it without seeing another soul. Beautiful pohutakawa trees line the foreshore, and the sun rises over the water, making this a magic spot early in the morning. On the other side of the hill is Orewa Beach. This is a longer beach approx. 3km long, and is great for taking walks on. Both islands in Nz enjoy amazing scenery. It has many attractions inc. skiing/snowboarding, caving, fishing/diving, boating, whitewater rafting, tramping, and more. Within short flying distance are many Pacific Islands (Fiji, Hawaii, Samoa Vanuatu, etc) awaiting that tropical getaway.
