About our home

Our home is a modern 4 bedroom en-suite home with 2 queen size beds and 4 single beds. There is under floor heating in both bathrooms and kitchen. Lounge. Family room and dining room have sliding doors to a large timber deck. Great for bbq. There is plenty of out door furniture and a nice garden. This is our second home with space to relax and enjoy.

We are Bev and Mike a married couple with two grown up sons who live in Australia. We are retired late 60s early seventies who have kept ourselves fit and active. We lived in Australia for 20yrs but returned to NZ 4yrs ago. We have done a home exchange before & are keen to do it again.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our home is in the suburb of Richmond 15mins by car to Nelson city 10mins to sandy beach and 10mins to airport. Richmond shopping mall is 5mins away. Our home is in a quiet no exit street with great neighbours. We are 30mins from Kaiteriteri beach with its golden sands and the start of the Able Tasman National Park. There is a day boat cruise from here along the coast to the many inlets. Nelson is the sunshine capital of Mew Zealand so there are many market gardens and orchards. 5 mins from our home you can go berry picking strawberries, rasberries boysenberries in season. Vegs are fresh and plentiful. Picton is 1hr 30mins away where you can board the ferry across Cook Straight to Wellington and the North Island.
