About our home

Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining room. The deck overlooks the city below with views to the sea and also with a view of the mountains. It has a small garden. I love spending time in my home and having friends over, it is warm and inviting.

My name is Stuart, I am retired from the communications field and enjoy traveling and making new friends from other countries. I like hiking, birding and being outdoors.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Situated in a picturesque area up the richmond and with in easy walking distance of Richmond and shops.A 15 min drive takes you into the town of Nelson which is the port for the area. Another 20min drive along the coastal highway takes you to the artist area of Mapua and beyound that to the Able Tasman park with breath taking walks along a coast national park. Or you can venture inland and up into the mountains for walks with over night huts. One hour away you can visit two mountain lakes and go skiing in winter. A very scenic two hour drive takes you to the Marlborough Sounds again with lovely walks and overnight places to stay. Also Marlborough is the wine region of New Zealand with lots of Wineries to visit. The Nelson district is a warm sunny spot in Summer and a picturescue place in winter with sunny days but cold nights.
