More about us

John and Julie are a married couple with two grown sons. Both retired veterinarians, we are now flower farmers and keen conservationists.We are keen travelers and Julie competes in triathlons, including overseas as a member of the NZ team in her age group. We are new to home exchange but enjoy hosting overseas visitors who help on our flower farm and look forward to making our home available to others.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live on our 40 acre (16Ha) conservation estate and flower farm and grow fresh fruit and vegetables from a bountiful garden as well as wine from a small vineyard. We have planted trees to restore the original forest cover and now have an active ecosystem with abundant bird life. We are 10 kms from Akaroa village with shops, restaurants, harbor cruises etc - Google Akaroa or Banks Peninsula for more information on the area.We are just over an hour from Christchurch and could arrange airport pickup and a car if needed.
