About our home

Our house is brand new with 4 bedrooms, three with king size beds and one queen size. All the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. The house is designed to enjoy open plan indoor/outdoor living. There are beautiful lake views from most rooms. There are extensive decks for outside living with a spa on the lakeside deck.
The house is situated on the lake front of Lake Rotorua so you can fish from the front garden. We are in a semi rural area so it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a kayak available and golf clubs and mountain bikes also.
We are only 5km from the centre of Rotorua.

More about us

We are Kathy and Sam, we are in our late fifties and semi retired (doctor and dentist). We have 4 children who are all grown up and have flown the nest. We enjoy travelling and have done several very successful home exchanges and have kept in contact with them all. Its a great way to travel and meet some lovely people. We are open to concurrent and non concurrent exchanges and a vehicle is available here. Sometimes we travel alone and other times we meet up with friends.

Rotorua is a thriving tourist area popular for its geothermal activity and Maori Culture. We have a huge variety of outdoor activities on the doorstep, some of the best mountain biking in New zealand, great glofing, fishing, rafting, walking etc. We are 1 hour away from the ocean and are surrounded by many beautiful lakes. We are very central for anyone wishing to explore the North Island.
