About our home

Our lovely little home is 3 mins walk to the beach situated in one of the best spots in Auckland, St Heliers bay. It has a great village just at the bottom of the hills with restaurants, library shops and the beach of course. The city centre is only 10-20mins away by car or taxi depending on the traffic, where you can find some of the best casual restaurants in the world well that what we think anyway. The gulf islands are just a ferry ride away from the centre of town and many day trips can be had from here, vineyards, world class beaches and rare birds. What I'm saying is that its an excellent location but a nice quiet neighbourhood perfect for a relaxing stay. The house is only a few years old architecturally designed, it has featured in various magazines, its not huge at around 170sqm but very open sunny and super warm, if you are here in winter, I think you'll get the vibe from the photos. There is a small plunge pool outside and a veggie garden out the back. we run our business from the offices adjoining so there will likely be someone there should you need any assistance during your stay. We can supply a cleaner on demand, and are happy to swap our car in most instances.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

St Heliers is a lovely neighbourhood by the sea. we are at the end of the road which travels around the waterfront from Auckland city so we are only about 15 mins drive, from the city but it is very quiet and relaxing here. The beach and village are only around 3 mins walk from out house, just down the hill. Our local village has several restaurants and shops, banks, and a mini mart for supplies.

Buzzy restaurants
The local restaurants are the Bistro modern local casual food, la forchette, Japanese up the road at Musash, and various other small restaurants, The eating out in Auckland and Parnell nearby is some of the best in world, a visit in August for restaurant month is a fab idea for a taste of some of our most talented chefs.
Day tripping
the Hauraki gulf island are not to be missed on a trip to Auckland Ferries can be caought form the city wharves just a 15- 20 min bus ride from our place.
