About our home

Our home is a modern comfortable home in the Matakana region, north of Auckland. We have beautiful sea and island views to the east, and rural views of rolling green hills to the north. We are located on a quiet cul de sac about 300 metres back from the beach, and easy walking distance to local shops.

Being NZ, public transport is okay in the city, but its best to hire a vehicle to explore beyond the city. We're located only a 45min drive north from Auckland's Harbour Bridge.

More about us

My wife and I love where we live. We work for a charitable trust in the local community and are fortunate enough to have our own business and flexible work arrangements that make it fairly easy to travel. Its my wife's dream to be able to explore Europe (esp. Italy) before we have kids, and now that she is expecting, we've made the decision to do a Med cruise from Rome in Sept 2011 and experience the sights, sounds (and cuisine) of Italy.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The Matakana region is a picturesque part of New Zealand, with vineyards, loads of cafes, country markets, villages and a range of beaches for swimming or soaking up the sun in summer. Being less than an hour way to Auckland city, a number of locals commute, or retreat to their beach for the weekend.
