More about us

  1. Myself, my wife Sue and our two children, Amy(14) and Louise(12) emigrated to New Zealand from the UK nine years ago, without any regrets. We lived in the Sultanate of Oman for six years and love that area of the world. We have built our dream home which we could never have owned in the UK. We are privaleaged to live in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. I am an Art Teacher and semi professional artist as you will notice if you stay at our home. We think our home is lovely. It would be good to get to know people in advance of any house exchange.

Where is it?

Acacia Bay is a semi rural area only minutes by car from the town. Small lakeside beaches and boat ramps with spectacular scenery. We built the house for views of the town and lake. Never close the curtains at night because of the views.
The neighbourhood is quiet and very friendly with quality homes. We overlook the lake at the front and a farm at the side. Acacia Bay is a Boatie's and fisherman's dream. The lake offers good trout fishing from boats. The Tongariro River, only a 30min drive around the lake offers one of the best Rainbow Trout fishing in the world. Ski fields only 1.5hour drive south in the Tongariro National Park. A haven for outdoor activities.
