About our home

Our place at Kinloch/Taupo is a lake front property with access directly to the beach. It is our second home, we call it our bach. It has been in our family for 2 generations and is a special place to come and relax and enjoy all the outdoor activities Lake Taupo has to offer. Our children spent all their summer/winter holidays here. It is an older home and we have done some renovations. New carpet, curtains, paint, new bathrooms. The kitchen still needs to be renovated. We have all new furnishings as you can see from the photos. We have mountain bikes and kayakes which are available for use.

More about us

My husband and I are in our early 50's , with 3 adult children who all live away from home. We are now looking forward to doing some travelling. Home exchange appeals to us as we prefer to stay in one place for 3 - 4 weeks. We have our own business, building steel framed industrial and farm buildings. I work for a Laser Eye Surgeon. We live in the country 10 kms from Hamilton which is 1 hour 40mins drive from Taupo, so we spend most weekends in Taupo, usually fishing or playing golf or mountain biking. We are particulary interested in Lake Tahoe as our oldest daughter and her husband will be spending time there on their travels while they are in the USA. We are also keen snow skiers. We are very caring of other peoples property and would take great care of your lovely home. We are also interested in other destinations around the world. Surprise us.

Kinloch is a small village on the edge of Lake Taupo, which is situated 20 mins drive from Taupo. We have 2 International golf courses, The Kinloch Club www.kinloch-golf.com and Wairakei International Golf Course. www.wairakeigolfcourse.co.nz There are also several other local golf courses nearby. Two tennis courts in the village. Rock climbing at our back door. Taupo is the fly fishing capital of the world. Lake fishing and fly fishing. Bungy jumping, para gliding, Jet Boating , mountain biking tracks hiking, kayaking all close by. Lake Taupo has cystal clear water. Rock climbing right at our back door.
