About our home

Our home is located rurally, but is only a 10 minute drive from downtown Tauranga, and 20 minutes from awesome beaches. We have a two acre section, and an avocado orchard. It's child friendly with a lovely big front lawn, and swings. The house is about 15 years old, is bright and warm, and has a fireplace.

More about us

We are Marie and Richard, and we have a 3 year old daughter called Sophie and a 1 year old son called Max. We're both professionals (Finance Manager and Business Development Manager) and love to travel. We're very keen to visit Scotland any time to visit family, and to the United States, Canada, and elsewhere in Europe in years to come. We have done one home exchange before, and it worked really well. We would like to organise a home exchange a reasonable amount of time in advance, in order to plan our travels.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Tauranga is located on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, about two hours drive south of Auckland. Population is about 100,000. The region has lots to offer, including great restaurants, bars, and shops, wonderful beaches, good hiking, plenty of golf courses, and lots of different outdoor activities. You will be only an hour's drive away from Rotorua with all of it's tourist activities, and two hours from Taupo and skiing.
