Our house is a modern comfortable 2 storey holiday home with 4 bedrooms. It has a well equipt kitchen,, combined dining room and lounge with wide screen TV. and air conditioning on the upper level and a log fire in the lounge on the lower level. We have a sunny site with vege, flower and herb gardens, outdoor living and gas barbeque. We are also happy to include a car in the exchange. The homes on the other side of the street back onto the lake reserve . We are 35km south of Taupo town but have 2 local stores nearby.

They were very attentive as hosts, and made sure that we were comfortable and knew what was around the area to eat at and where to go. We had a lovely couple of days there with friends. We are John and Olwen, an active married couple in our late seventies, retired, with a grown up family. We love the outdoors, we ski, play golf, mountain bike, and like to take walks. We have traveled extensively and over the past 10 years have done some wonderful exchanges in different parts of the world and made some good friends in the process. We love skiing and are keen to do more in Canada and the USA as well as Europe. We would like to get back into overseas exchanges once the pandemic settles down if ever. We are interested in skiing in North Lake Tahoe area, also in the Colorado area, as well as Canadian fields, Whistler, Sun Peaks etc. We also have some unfinished business in Switzerland. Until things are settled we will start looking at NZ swaps. NZ in January through to the end of March experiences warm settled weather 25 - 30 degrees C and is the best time to visit.
As we are about to move into a retirement village we will just be using our Lake Taupo holiday home for swaps. non simultaneous exchanges will still be possible. We are also happy to make a car available as part of the swap.
Our house is situated up a private lane with 5 other homes in central Hamilton. We are close to Waikato river bank walks and shops, 10 minute walk to the city centre, and on a bus route. Hamilton is an inland city of 140,000 inhabitants, visit the web site www.visithamilton.co.nz We are 90 minutes drive south of Auckland, the main gateway to New Zealand. Hamilton also has a well serviced airport. We are 80 minutes drive from Tauranga and the east coast beaches, and 40 minutes drive from Raglan and the west coast beaches. We are also within easy reach of a lot of tourist attractions such as the Rotorua thermal region, Waitomo Gloworm Caves, Lake Taupo, www.laketauponz.com and Mt Ruapehu ski fields.
