About our home

Our home is a sympathetically restored 1877 spacious homestead. The ground floor features open plan lounge with fire place, dining area with wood burner, modern kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, and an informal sitting area. There is a separate bathroom on the ground floor as well as a second master ensuite bedroom. Every room in the home has wonderful rural views. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms - one the master with large ensuite, and 2 other double bedrooms.

We are Philip and Marilyn, in our 50-60s, not retired but are enjoying a change in lifestyle. We run a bed and breakfast at Woodside,www.marlboroughbb.co.nz harvest our 15 walnut trees, and look after our 3 free range hens. We are passionate about good wine and food and love our lifestyle in Marlborough. Our ideal travel destinations are places where we can learn the lifestyle of the country through cafe, restaurants, food markets and wine, of course.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Woodside is in a small very friendly community of Tuamarina, 10k from Blenheim and 18k from Picton. Ideally situated just 500 quiet metres from the main road. 65 wonderful Marlborough vineyards are within a 20 minute drive. Excellent vineyard restaurants for lunch and dinner abound. Car is recommended. The magnificent Marlborough Sounds are only 18k away, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, cruising or just walking on the beach.
