About our home

This two-bedroom art deco apartment is set in an established woodland garden in a quiet neighbourhood with good local amenities. A cafe is at the end of the street and there is a good bus service two minutes away. A leafy walk to the city with great harbour views. Good walking on the nearby hills and bush.

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
The city, the waterfront and the suburbs have a huge range of eateries to choose from.
Cozy cafés
Le Marquis cafe (complete with piano) is on the corner about 2 minutes walk. It often has quizz nights and live music. There is an excellent fish and chip shop adjacent, a library up the hill and more food outlets, including an Indian takeaway and a Wisconsin Burger.
Retail therapy
An easy bus ride or walk to the CBD has some great shopping along Lambton Quay, Willis Street and beyond.
Bit of culture
There is never a dull moment in Wellington with film festivals particularly popular in Wellington.
Walks in the park
Access to Te Ahu Mairangi hill is a five minute walk away with a great choice of trails. Another 10 minutes walk away is Trelissick Park and Otari Wilton Park with great native bush walks to adjacent suburbs and the sea.
Spot of exercise
The city is within easy reach with a walk on the waterfront to a weekly Sunday market (near Te Papa museum) a favourite with the locals.
Day tripping
It's an easy half hour drive up the Kapiti coast via the motorway in one northerly direction and about 1.5 hours to the popular wine growing area of Martinborough and the extensive farming district of Wairarapa in the other. Some lovely bays to visit on the other side of the harbour and again many walking trails in the hills and along the coast.
