About our home

Our home is comfortable, clean and spacious in a quiet and private urban setting. It has a garden and outdoor living space for the summer.
There is a main bedroom with an en suite and two good sized bedrooms, one with queen bed and two singles in the other bedroom.
The living space is open plan with dining and adjoining lounge area. There is a log fire, heat pump and underfloor heating for winter warmth. French doors open out to the garden.
A large garage is attached where the laundry is located.
There are 2 bikes in the garage and others can be readily hired.


More about us

  1. We are Gary and Alison, a semi-retired farming couple living two and half hours away from Wanaka on a dairy farm.We have two grown children in their early thirties.
    Being new to the Home Exchange concept we would wish to get to know any prospective exchangees via email to learn a little more about where we are going.
    We have a variety of interests and enjoy travelling and meeting new people

Where is it?


The house is located in the town of Wanaka, an urban setting with good neighbours. It is a short walk, 1.5kms on flat ground to the town centre.
Wanaka is a small town on the shores of Lake Wanaka in the the Lakes District of Central Otago in the South Island of New Zealand
. It is surrounded by mountains with stunning views and is a haven for walking, biking, mountain biking, golf, horse trekking, all water and mountain related sporting activities, including skiing during the winter months.
Queenstown is located across the Crown Range just under one hour.
It is the nearest international airport and tourist capital in NZ.
