About our home

This is our vacation house so same time house swap is not essential. The house is simple open plan living (easy to look after) with a large deck overlooking Lake Wanaka. Upstairs is open plan kitchen with large living area plus two bedrooms and bathroom plus seperate toilet and seperate laundry. Downstairs are two bedrooms and bathroom plus seperate lounge area.

More about us

My name is Mark. Age, help its not is it,65. I was the principal of my own motor vehicle dealership (GM and Nissan) based in Timaru.Now semi retired. I love the outdoors especially this area of New Zealand. My partner Barbara and I love to travel overseas enjoying other cultures.We have swaped with a number of great people in France, Turkey and Spain and enjoy the adventure. Barbara has a sheep and cattle station near Tarras which is 30 minutes from Wanaka

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Wanaka is very popular New Zealand resort. Please check out the local webb site www.lakewanaka.co.nz Our house is located 400 meters from the lake and a short 15 minute walk along the lake shore to the centre of the town. We have great views over looking the lake and central to most activities. Wanaka is a small town with it's own character that comes alive during the ski season and in summer. It is only one hour north of Queenstown. Outdoor activities are exceptional. Main airports are at Queenstown (1 hour), Dunedin (3 hours) or Christchurch (4.5 hours) away. I live at Timaru which is on the coast two hours south of Christchurch. If you ever wanted to come to New Zealand then Wanaka is a must.It is a central hub for the Otago Lakes area and an easy commute to the Queenstown area.
