About our home

Our home is a warm sunny Wellington bungalow in the city fringe suburb of Hataitai. Close to local shops and restaurants and a 5 minute bus ride or 20 minute walk from the city, it is ideally positioned to take advantage of city attractions (National Museum Te Papa, the promenade at Oriental Bay, Wellington Zoo, City Gallery, Aquatic Centre etc. as well as the south coast beaches).

The house is situated on two levels with flow from the living/dining area onto a north-facing patio and garden. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and central gas heating (for winter visitors). It is especially ideal for young families with a Wendy House, sandpit, trampoline, and is fully fenced. We love the location and hope you will enjoy our warm, bright family home.

More about us

Our family comprises Claudia and Phil and four young daughters (two pre-schoolers and a set of 6 year old twins. Phil manages an environmental not-for-profit, while Claudia wrangles the children and is slowly easing back into work as a speech therapist. We have a love for travel and are keen to explore more shores together with the kids (although holidays are very different now!). We take pride in our home and are teaching our children to be respectful of their environment wherever they are.

Hataitai is an affluent city fringe suburb, located between the airport and Wellington City. It's a short bus ride or walk into the city, or Oriental Bay, with all the main attractions close at hand. Wellington itself is vibrant compact city, with a stunning harbour and even opportunities to catch up with NZ government ministers and the occasional hobbit.
