More about us

  1. We are a family of 5 - two parents, one an executive and the other works part time and manages the household, plus three girls, ages 7, 9 and 11. We lead a busy life with school, work and extra curricular activities. Having spent a wonderful 4 months in France 2 years ago we have continued to learn the language back home in Wellington and would love to return to France to explore the country and practice our improved language skills.

Neighbourhood

Our house is walking distance to town, although there is also a bus service a few hundred metres from the door. Wellington is very compact city and most attractions can easily be reached on foot or public transport. As the capital there are the houses of government, and other buildings of national significance such as Te Papa (national museum). There are many shops and cafes, live performance art (theatre, music etc) and opportunities for sport and recreation are easy to access with many trails through the surrounding hills and along the waterfront appropriate for exploring on foot or on a bike. Wellington is also home to wonderful film industry (think Lord of the Rings etc).
