About our home

Our quality spacious lake house on the lake has 180 degree views over the Lake Tarawera and to Mount Tarawera with a large jetty to sunbath and swim off. This a a top clean water and trout fishing lake in the Rotorua district.

The house has a lovely large lounge, kitchen dining area and wrap around decks, a BBQ area, and Finnish sauna.
Lake Tarawera is a most attractive lake within 18 minutes drive to Rotorua City, which is a major tourist area in New Zealand for enjoying Maori culture, the geothermal areas ( Te Puia, Waimangu and Waitapu plus more)- Hot pools ( the Polynesian Spa Complex and many more, and Kerosine Creek for a natural hot swim area), Redwood forest for walks and tree top walks- and is ranked in the top 7 best mountain biking areas in the world- it is known as the Disney Land of mountain biking. Being a tourist city, Rotorua has great restaurants at an area called Eat Street ( the lake end of Tutanekai Street, Rotorua city), and on Thursday nights next to Eat Street there is outdoor stalls set up for dining as well.
