About our home

Our home is a spacious family home located amongst other quality homes in a quiet, safe, landscaped no exit street. It is a light airy home with rural views yet we are only 10 minutes drive from the centre of town.
The home has an open plan modern kitchen with a sunny breakfast nook as well as a formal dining area. There are 4 bedrooms plus a study. Ensuites are annexed to both the master and guest bedrooms. Master bathroom has a spa bath.We have gas water and space heating.
The house has a pleasant indoor/outdoor flow with landscaped gardens and peaceful outoor paved areas which face due north so receive sun from dawn to dusk. A gas bbq is available. The location is very quiet and peaceful- so quiet you can hear birds singing all day from the nearby country bush area.
Our immediate neighbourhood is picturesque with rural views including stone walls, fields and native bush. Walkways link sidestreets and the adjoining Heritage Park with it's Kiwi House, Museum and Live days is a 5 minute walk from home.
We can also offer our 3 bedroom beach house situated at Whangarei Heads a 40 minute drive from our home as an alternative/additional option.

More about us

  1. We are Mike and Jennie, a married couple with a 22 year old son who is on a working holiday in the UK at present. We have a small friendly cat also. We are both in our early 50s and are beginning to wind down from fulltime work so that we can travel. We would also be interested in a non-simultaneous exchange or hospitality some time in the future.
