Sea view sanctuary

Originally our family home, Te Piringa ("Haven" in Maori) is set high on a 10 acre bush block, boardered on two sides by the Manaia reserve, with superb views over the Whangarei harbour. We now rent it out as a holiday home, so we are very happy with a non-simultaneous exchange. It is a peaceful retreat and is totally private, yet it doesnt feel lonely as you can watch the activity down in the bay and on the harbour. The house has large windows to make the most of the views, a full working kitchen and beautiful dining room with cathedral windows. The bedrooms are on three levels....the top storey has two bedrooms...a queen bed in one room, a double bed in the other. The ground floor has the kitchen, the dining room, tv room, lounge with large picture windows with views of the bay and harbour and a bedroom with a queen and single bed in it. The ground floor also has the bathroom with a separate toilet. The bottom storey bedroom has a king sized bed and a single bed in it. The house is light and airy with wonderful views of mountains and sea. There are plenty of original art works on the walls and books and games in the cupboards. Te Piringa is a great place to chill out and experience the beauty and nature of New Zealand....you can even hear our local kiwi birds call at night from here as you watch the sun set across the harbour while dining on the deck under the shade sail......a lovely way to end the day!
