The beach is only a hop, skip and a jump away, and what a delight awaits. The white sand is perfect postcard quality, and you can choose between the 'rough & tumble' waves on the main beach with life guards on duty, or paddling in the protected lagoon. There are tennis courts open to the public only a minutes walk away, and a local store for all your basic holiday requirements. This property is kid-friendly with a selection of games, children's bikes for use, and a swing!

Surf Cast on the beach for your evening meal - there is an outdoor bench and sink specifically for fish prep, and then head back, turn on the BBQ, and your holiday dining is sorted!

The living area at this Whiritoa accommodation is simple yet comfortable, and for those cooler months it has a cosy wood-burner fireplace. The living area opens onto the back deck where you can relax with family or friends, and the kitchen and dining area are open plan.

The master bedroom is fitted with a double and single bed. The second bedroom is fitted with a set of bunks - ideal for the kids, and the third bedroom has a fold out sofa and single bed. If required there is also a fold out sofa bed in the living area.

Whiritoa is a small beach village on the Coromandel Peninsula 13km south of Whangamata and 16KM north of Waihi township. It has a permanent population in the low hundreds, which grows to over a thousand during the new year period. Whiritoa includes a convenience store, Library, Tennis Courts and a volunteer fire department. The local Surf lifesaving club has a close relationship with the community and they patrol the beach during the summer, the club rooms are also used for events. "Always swim between the flags" At the north end of the 1.5km beach is a small lagoon which is ideal for the little ones to swim and play, past this is a 15 minute walk to Waimana Bay that features white sand, crystal clear waters and a canopy of Pohutakawa trees. At the south end is a short bush walk to a blowhole. Whiritoa Beach itself is popular for surfers as it often features a couple of roaming sandbar's.

Whangamata is approximately 10 minutes away plus Tauranga, Auckland and Hamilton are all under 2 hours drive away.
