About our home

I live alone in a 45sqm(ish) flat in a really vibrant part of Oslo full of bars, cafes, restaurants, markets, nature and soon. Its a 15m walk/10m tram to central station, within a 5-45m walk to most places in Oslo (Oslo is actually pretty of compact). Im happy to give you a list of suggestions for the city tailored to your interests!

My home has a small bedroom with brand new and really comfy 140cm bed. There is a separate kitchen, and also a large living room with a really comfy and big couch (285cm long with 175cm chaise) that could sleep one adult, or maybe 2 children. The space is best suited for a couple, or 3 people however it is possible to add another air mattress to the living room if needed!

There is a tram stop 3 minutes from my door with 3 trams, buses, city bikes and scooters, and of course its well located so you can always walk. Getting around the city is no problem!

More about us

  1. I am a solo traveler, from the west coast US but have been living in Oslo the past 3 years and before that many other places!

  2. I work as an Interaction Designer, and am most passionate about art and culture, snowboarding and the outdoors in general, unique places and local culture and people, and so on.

  3. I have hosted/have been hosted a lot on couchsurfing (as well as airbnb) so I am no stranger to the respect and trust in alternative platforms such as this one. I am happy to share my profiles with you before confirming a swap, as I am new to this website but have many references on those platforms :)

Where is it?

Grunerløkka is a hip and buzzing neighborhood, close to everything in Oslo because well most things in Oslo are close to each other. Think a tiny Brooklyn/Shoreditch, with a lot less people and a little more nature! I live just 5 minutes from the river that runs through Oslo, and 5 minutes from a large park that is great to lay in on a summers day. There is of course plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and vintage shops and boutiques around.
