Our home is a newly refurbished apartment or condo (not sure what's the right word). All surfaces were renewed, bathrooms were built new and kitchen totally redone. Kitchen is very spacious with all new appliances and white goods. The dining table extends and seats eight. The dining room and kitchen also has a modern fireplace with a glass door. The living room has a big couch (typical Scandinavian design) and a smart-TV with cable, Netflix and HBO. The couch turns into a queen size bed if you are entertaining guests. There is also second bathroom on this floor.
Downstairs is the main bathroom with a comfortable shower and washer/dryer. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a big wardrobe closet with big mirror doors. The second bedroom can be equipped with up to two beds, according to need. Whole ground floor has heated floors.
There is big private garden with direct access from our home. In the summer you can meet our neighbors, let the children play or BBQ and drink wine into the wee hours.

We like the outdoors
Our place is located in one of the most attractive neighborhoods in Oslo. It is centrally located and at the same time very quiet, comfortable and green (in the summer). All of Oslo can be reached by public transportation almost from our doorstep (buses, city trams and subway). All museums, downtown, Oslo sights and the Oslo woods are easily accessible. The Oslo woods are huge and surrounds the city. We use it for hiking, bike riding and skiing. The Oslo fjord is also very close. You can hop on small ferries and see the islands.
There is a variety of restaurants, bars, clubs, museums of all sorts - all very close. In the summer the sun hardly sets, and the atmosphere is vibrant. A little further north in Norway you have the midnight sun. Easily and cheaply accessible via domestic airlines.
The major attractions in Oslo are the Vigelands park, The Holmenkollen ski jump, the Viking Ship Museum, the Opera House, The Royal Palace and The Akershus Fortress, to name a few.
When in Norway you will want to see the famous fjords. They are located more on the western side of the country. From Oslo you can easily travel on your own by car or train, about half a day and you will be there. There are several travel agents who arrange so called "Norway in a nutshell" round trips from Oslo that will allow you see some the most spectacular nature the world has to offer in a couple of days or so. Don't miss out. Its breathtaking.
