About our home

Our house is located at 150 m above the Sognefjord, which gives us a beautiful view over the fjord, mountains and glacier from the living room, the balcony and the garden. The house is built in 1983 and was renovated in 2003. We have 4 bedrooms, a fully equiped kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room, a balcony for outdoor meals and light midnights, and a nice garden with a "trampoline". 50 m from the house there is a playing site, where the local kids play football.

More about us

  1. We are a family of three - mom, a teenager girl (13) and a boy (11). Mom is working as chief manager in a research institute. We like travelling and have done house exchange once before. We love mountain hiking, biking and swimming, as well as exploring urban sites and villages. We also love our beautiful region, and would like others to enjoy it too!

Where is it?

Our house is located in a village in the heart of the Norwegian fjord- and mountain landscape. The area is perfect for hiking, mountain climbing and glacier climbing and biking. The woods are 0,5 km away, the mountains 3 km away. Some 90 km away (at the Jostedal Glacier) it is possible to join day-tours for glacier-climbing. The ferry-tour to the Nærøy fjord and the Flåm railway to Myrdal with it's spectacular views are worth doing, as well as the ferry-tour to Fjærland with it's glacier museum and "city of books".
