Our holiday home is a timber cabin built in 2008 on one of the first lots in the area. It offers peace, silence and privacy, yet it's centrally placed and Oslo is just over 1 hour drive away. On the West side of Oslo (same as the cabin) you find most of Oslos main attractions like the Kon-Tiki museum, Fram Museum, a Folk museum (middleage park), Viking Ship Museum, Vigelandsparken and much more. There are also a lot of free places to visit in Oslo.
In the Close proximity of our cabin there is a climbing park for kids and adults (Scandinavias largest), an alpine skiing centre, crosscountry skiing tracks, great biking (road and MTB), hiking, salmon fishing and more.
The cabin is notched by really large logs, and rightfully gives a very solid and cozy feeling. It offers four bedrooms, and hence it is ideal for two families with kids. It has one bathroom with shower and a toilet, and one separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, oven with induction plates, a dishwasher, microwave oven, and everything else you would need. There is a washing machine in a seperate room. The living room, kitchen, bathroom and the entrance have heated wooden floors. Basically, it is as comfortable and well equipped as most main homes.
Esther has a special interest for design and interior, and we think that the cabin is very nice, and also has a personal touch to it.
