About our home

Our home is comfortable, clean and spacious. It has a modern kitchen with adjoining dining room and a large balcony that offers a seaview with cruise ships sailing in and out of the harbour. The fireplace in the sitting room warms up the apartment. Sitting on the sofa, we enjoy a panaromic downtown seaview and the famous Arctic Cathedral located about ten minutes´walking distance. We have a main bedroom and a kid´s bedroom. I love spending time in my cosy and bright apartment, watching the skylight and the sea; playing the piano; reading a book and some digital TV also. Even though it´s a modern apartment, it is located in a big house, built in 2004 with only a total of six flats. My home provides the convenience of urban living as well as the quietness of a undetached house.

More about us

  1. We are Judy and Thomas. Judy is a media professional turned Research Fellow researching on digital documents at the University of Tromso. A Hong Kong Chinese by birth, a Canadian citizen by nationality and a resident of Tromso by marriage, Judy has lived and worked in three continents and really enjoys travelling. After settling in Tromso and taking care of Thomas who is now six, it has arrived at a time that Judy and Thomas can start travelling again. The best way is not to travel as package tourists seeing the promotional stuff printed in brochures. Home Exchange seems an excellent idea to meet interesting and open-minded people and to live among residents, not tourists. We will make our home as hospitable as possible and provide the necessary information for travelling in and around Tromso as well as in Norway. Please do contact us if you are interested to experience the Arctic, the Midnight sun and the Northern Lights!
