About our home

Our farmhouse estate, constructed in wood and stone, blends in well with the nature that surrounds it. The central room downstairs has a high ceiling and cozy fireplace perfect for rainy days or fresh mornings before the sun comes up over the mountains. This would be a perfect place to bring the family or a group of friends for a retreat.

This large estate can sleep up to 22 guests. It has six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Including:

Three bedrooms with one double bed, two bunk-style beds, and bathroom
One bedroom with two double beds, and shared bathroom
One bedroom with two single beds and a shared bathroom
One bedroom with two queen beds and one large bathroom with bath tub

A complete kitchen, dining room, and living room, as well as a spacious porch. The house sits on a large property that is home to horses, cows, and goats. There is a green house, a hydro-electric plant, a bio-digester, and wifi throughout the house.

The house is located minutes away from the entrance of Volcan Baru National Park. From there, you can walk a trail for 5 hours all the way to Boquete, a popular European-style village amidst the highest mountains in Panama. Or, descend in Guadalupe, a village dotted with strawberry and cream stands and florists. If you like hiking, birding or biking, there are plenty of parks and places to explore. If you want to get to know David and Western Panama, or even cross the border into Costa Rica, we're only a 1.5 hour drive away, or a 2 hr bus ride from the bustling and active cities. Unlike city life, the area of Guadalupe- Cerro Punta is extremely safe, roads are well maintained, and neither tourism nor industrialization has taken over the way of life of the local people. Women's indigenous traditional dress, blue and white flowers, and daily rainbows color the countryside.

I am an adventurous Panamanian, educated in the United States and currently living in Western Panama. I currently own and manage an ecolodge in Guadalupe, but would love to take a vacation every now and then and see other parts of the world (especially for more inspiration). I am always in the process of creating new projects and am currently building a hot springs area about an hour from the farmhouse (which you are welcome to visit!). I love being active and trying new things and receiving suggestions for improvements- among my favorite activities- swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling, long road trips, camping, tasting new foods, traveling... I'm hoping that I can also bring my daughter along with me! We both speak Spanish, English and French.
