About our home

This bespoke hideaway is an island of privacy and tranquility. This 3 bed 2 bath custom home sits amidst a 140 acre reforestation project, known as the IDB Ranch. It is an excellent base for exploring the Azuero Peninsula and beyond. Just 2 miles east of the world famous surf beach, Playa Venao and only 17 west of the town of Pedasi where there are abundant restaurants as well as banks, supermarkets and a hospital, this house has it all including WI-FI just recently added if you need to stay connected!

The Tree House is an owner retreat and guest rental used to fund on-going reforestation of the 140 acre IDB Ranch. Since 2005 over 33,000 trees have been planted and all rental proceeds from the Tree House go directly towards additional planting and forest maintenance.

Visitors rave about the private hiking trails on the Ranch whether trekking along the breathtaking Viewpoint Trail Loop or taking the Secluded Beach Loop to Calabacito Beach. Both trails pass through extensive bird and monkey habitat. Additionally there are two fruit orchards near the Tree House where seasonal tropical fruit can be picked and enjoyed during your stay.

The Tree House was designed to provide a comfortable and inviting vacation experience. The upper level houses an expansive kitchen, separate sunrise and sundown balconies, a bathroom and two bedrooms with queen beds and air conditioning. The lower level has a third bedroom with air conditioning and two twin beds (can be joined to make a king bed) and a bathroom. There are ocean views from almost everywhere in the house. Visitors can watch ships traveling to and from the Panama Canal passing the nearby Frailes Islands. From July through September humpback whales can be seen breaching offshore.
