About our home

My 2-room 37 sq m. flat is on the second floor in a quiet area of Szczecin, but within a 15-minute walk from its center, by many people considered as one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. The entrance to the flat is through the common balcony. In front of the door, there is a pine tree growing. The kitchen is fully equipped with the gas cooker with oven and grill, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a washing machine. There is a separate place for drying clothes. The bathroom is tiny, with a shower, and bidetta, but it's lovely. There is a couch in the living room, and two single beds in the bedroom, which can be joined together, so up to 4 people can sleep in the apartment. In the living room, there is a television with channels in Polish and German languages, wooden floor, rattan and "antique" furniture. In the bedroom, you will find a fitted wardrobe with a big mirror. The shops and a restaurant are around the corner, open every day till late. You can park your car for free on the street next to the house.
Close to the flat, there is a bus and a tram line, which can take you every 4-15 minutes to the most important places in the town (5 minutes to the town center), so you can rest from using the car.

The flat is situated in a quite quiet area as well as being so close to the city center and the second biggest cemetery of Europe, which, in fact, is a beautiful park with exotic trees, designed by a German architect, with thousands of birds, squirrels, foxes, rabbits. And if you want to relax during a sunny day - it's about an hour's trip by car to beautiful sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea. If you prefer visiting cities - Berlin is almost equally close.
You can also spend time on Miedwie lake - swimming, kayaking or sailing, windsurfing - about 30 km from Szczecin, or in the town, as there is the Odra river flowing through it and Dabskie Lake. Within a walk's distance, you can play tennis. There are also beautiful parks and forests in and around Szczecin. Our favorite river for kayaking is Drawa River - about 1-hour distance from our place, in a beautiful forest and lake region of the national park.
Szczecin’s history was quite a difficult one. It used to belong to many countries – now being Polish, before the second world war – German…, so there are many interesting historical places to visit, including a castle beautifully facing the Odra River. For architecture lovers, I can recommend lovely homes built in secession style and the award winning filharmonic.

We are the nuclear family with one 22-year-old son, who is doing his master's in London at the moment. We love traveling, meeting new people, trying to understand the world better by visiting different places. and tasting new food. We often go biking as well as visit art galleries, theatres, and cinemas. We love swimming.
I am a teacher and my husband - an electronic engineer.

All of us speak English, Polish, and Russian.
