“Nous avons passé un moment très agréable chez Harald. La communication a été agréable et son appartement comfortable et exceptionnellement placé pour découvrir la ville de Varsovie. Le quartier est incroyablement bien servi en options gastronomiques et tout est à portée de main. Nous recommandons fortement un échange avec des gens aussi hospitaliers. Merci encore, Marcolino (Paris)”
Harald's reviewsAs a host (3)
“We spent three very comfortable weeks at Harald and Justyna's modern stylish apartment in the heart of Warsaw. It is situated close to Constitutional Square, only moments from the local supermarket, numerous restaurants, and minutes to the excellent bus and Metro (so convenient and inexpensive, we chose not to use their car). Although the apartment was close to everything, it was super quiet, and it was reassuring to have 24 hour security. Lazienski Park was in walking distance, with its free Chopin concerts on summer Sundays. Could see the Palace of Culture from the lounge room window. Our hosts left us with an excellent collection of maps and a comprehensive list of attractions, and names of people to contact if we had any problems. Overall a lovely stay in the heart of Warsaw. Thank you Harald, Justyna and Borys. From Mike and Jenny, Newcastle, Australia”
“My partner and I spent 2 weeks in the previous home of Harald and Justyna in the French-speaking area of Switzerland, only 3 km from the lovely town of Morges, on Lake Geneva. They had gone off on a trip the day before, so could not be there to meet us, but easy arrangements were made about the keys, the car, spotlessly clean was waiting for us on the drive, and the house was superb, with every possible convenience. The village was very peaceful, with vineyards all around. We did not actually meet Harald and Justyna until they came to Granada in June 2014, almost 2 years later, to complete the exchange. Charming couple with their son Borys. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as exchange partners 100%!!!Thank you Harald and family.”
Where is it?
Warsaw is a young and buzzling city where the world's most famous architects compete to surround the cultural palace by their unconventional projects. Our appartment, even though in the center, is very quiet and right by Constitutional Square and the Politechnikum. 5 minutes to the Metro line and multiple bus connections. The generous vast parks of the city are within walking distance, 20 minutes by bus to the Old Town and the Royal Castle. You will have a hard time to decide to which restaurant to go with a choice from traditional Polish cuisine to Sushi and Indian cooking (best fish restaurant just around the corner). Shopping centres (your money is much more worth here than in New York, London or Oslo incidentally), clubbing, museums, fun in the brand new Kopernikus Center of Science and last but not least the very impressive POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews which opened in 2014 - the time of your stay will run out before you know it! To venture beyond the city limits? Excursions to Krakow or Berlin (new highway opened for the European Soccer Championship) or the Baltic sea - the historic city of Gdansk is just a jewel - might also be tempting if you are not in a hurry.
