About our home

Image of our villa is the front view of both our villas.Our home is two separate three bedroom semi detached villas,with separate entrances to both villas. Comfortable, clean, and spacious. The villa we offer for exchange has a large dining/living room, with a small balcony overlooking the pool area and trees in the back garden. Towards one side of the property is an orchard, vine yards and rolling fields which offers a great view. The only traffic generally passing outside is the farmers on their tractors. Rural village location, yet within easy reach of all sites and attractions. A car is essential for staying at this villa.

More about us

We are a married couple with a small Yorkshire Terrier (who we would like to stay with us, however if not permitted we do have someone in Norwich who will look after her for us during our stay at your house.) We have not done a home exchange before. We are in our late 30`s and are non smokers, that are looking for a house swap for a period of 5-6 months starting during the month of October 2006 and are flexible with an exact date.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our village is very much a safe, convenient location for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

A gentle stroll along the village of Fanadia takes you past the quaint local church to the local restaurant called Adega Velha in which we recommend a visit. The food is good and the prices are exceptional.

Also located in the village are a few small café/bars and a shop, which sells basic items and fresh country bread every day. A primary school and a small museum complete this traditional Portuguese village.

Only a five minute drive away from the villa is the town of Caldas da Rainha which offers the markets, specialized shops, hypermarkets, thermal spas, museums, parks etc...

Obidos Walled Castle & Town is approx 5 min drive away, Praia D'El Rey for golfers is approx 20 min drive away, Lisbon is approx 45 min drive away, and beaches are approx 8km and 25km.
