About our home

Tastefully decorated double-top-floor apartment overlooking the bay of Cascais and the hills of Sintra.
15min to Lisbon center (90% highway). 5-10min to famous surf and kite beaches of Carcavelos and Guincho (also high-way or similar).
All city amenities in short walking distance: three family groceries, cafes, laundry, restaurants, local weekend fresh produce markets, day-spas, hair-dresser, small hospital, pharmacy, gym, taxi stand, bus-stop, etc.
Large terrace with views on sea and mountain.
Kids and dogs welcome.
Daily 'New York Times' in good old paper version.
Easy coastal high-way connection (A5) enables you to be everywhere in a flash.
We have a new family car for exchange if suitable. Within Europe we prefer to use our car to take the dogs with us. 50meters from our house is a taxi-stand and a small bus-terminal with all connection. The coast line from Lisbon to Cascais is well served by commuter rail. You need no car for daily living.
The rooms: The ground floor is open designed with one en-suite bed-room, large living room, and a big live-in kitchen with guest-bathroom. All these rooms all have direct terrace access.
Upstairs, we have two roof rooms for kids plus kids-bath and a write/play-corner for kids, all with sky-windows. Fishes in small aquarium in kids-room need feeding.
We are on the two top-floors of the highest building on the hill with views all around. It was originally 2 apartments joined and then build up into the roof. Close to 200sqm. Elevator to our 6th floor.
All-in-all three double-bed-rooms plus two (or three) sleeping places on quality day-bed-sofas (no back-pain holes or nightly surprise-fold-ins), one big bathrooms, one small bathroom, one large guest-toilet, plus storage room and cellar. Every room has internet connection with PC's ready, plus WIFI. Though we are not watching regular TV, we have a TV-DVD-set with several thousand movies for those who are not yet streaming.
The apartment has an easy to use alarm system (if you like extra security).
We do have a parking place in the garage but outside parking is no problem and much easier.
Ideal for a couple (with privacy downstairs) and 2-4 kids (upstairs).
While the Estoril-Lisbon coast is very 'international chic' and can be a very expensive tourist trap, our area is more local with small cafes, mum&dad groceries and restaurants, small parks and churches.
Beach-Life, Medieval History, City-Culture, and wild nature all in 15min radius.
