About our home

This house is a rustic conversion with a large private garden in a pretty, typical Portuguese village. While literally just a minutes walk from the centre of the village, the house is located of a very quiet lane. The large and mature garden contains a 7-metre pool, enclosed in its own cobbled area, making it suitable for families with young children.

Where is it?

The village of Azoia is situated about 1.5 Km from Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of mainland europe, and in the pine-clad foothills of the Serra da Sintra making it ideal walking territory. There is a beautiful secluded beach a scramble from the road to Cabo da Roca and many other more accessible beaches a short drive away. The village still maintains a traditional Portuguese feel, but now contains 4 restaurants, a bar in a converted windmill with a stunning view along the coast, and a few cafés. There's a grocery store, daily vegetable market, and fresh bread rolls to be had from the delivery van each morning. There are excellent golf courses close by. Guincho, one of the most famous wind-surfing beaches in Europe is 15 minutes away. Bikes can be hired in Colares or Cascais.
