About our home

Alvor is a small fishing village set between two towns, Portimao and Lagos. The beautiful beach is a five minute walk away and is approx 4 kilometers in length. Alvor village is also a five minute walk away and has plenty of good bars and restaurants. So no need for driving .
The apartment has stunning sea views. It is on the fourth floor serviced by an elevator. There is a lovely log fire in the lounge and a fully fitted ajoining kitchen and laundry room. There is 3 large bedrooms with 2 double beds and two single beds between them.One bedroom has an en-suite and there is a bathroom in the hallway and a seperate WC room.
There is 3 flat screen TV's throughout and a full satalite system with surround sound speakers. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The lounge has 2 ceiling fans and air conditioning.There is approx 200 dvd's to use.
The quality of the restaurants in Portugal is excellent and very reasonable.

More about us

Helena and myself are both English, retired and have lived in Alvor for approx five years. This is our main home and not a holiday rental. We do not smoke or have pets, so we would not be interested in anyone who has. We would also prefer no children but would consider it. We are very house proud and would like similar minded people.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Alvor is on the Algarve, which is the south of Portugal where all the Portuguese go for holidays. It is a scenic three hour drive on an empty motorway to Lisbon and approx five hours to Porto. Faro is the local airport approx 45 minutes from Alvor. Anyone flying to Portugal can get to Alvor by coming into Lisbon and either a shuttle to Alvor or car hire at Lisbon. Its just as easy to fly into Uk and a shuttle with Easy jet or Monarch to Faro.
