About our home

This 20 year old organic certified family farm is being transformed into a Eden by the youngest member since 2008. All cottages where rebuilt using local materials like clay tiles, bambu shadows, white wash walls, and renewed old furniture. Yes, there is wi-fi!The 'pátio' gives you space outside for sunny breakfasts, barbecue lunchs, and moonlight dinners. On the pátio you will also be visited by our animal family, composed by many free animals like cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, even camelons. You have our organic vegetable garden and chicken house at your disposal, free picking of everything. From May to October we have a pool to fight the heat. All year there is a library with books (and local guides, maps, restaurante tips, secrets and secluded beachs) in our office and also 4 bikes for free usage. The farm is located in a very nice rural location - wake up with roosters, but at the same time at 300m from Castro Marim's trainstation - travel within all Algarve without a car, 2km from the oceans beachs, 5km from spanish village Ayamonte. In the suroundings you can visit the Natural Reserve for WaterBirds to birdwatch flamingos, and many other rare birds, visit Castro Marim itself, as it is inhabited since pre-historic time and has witness all great civilazations of the mediterranean fenicians, greeks, romans, celts and lats, arabs. The farm its self used to be a roman villa (agriculture farm) and still bears some leftovers like a lime hoven.
