About our home

Welcome! My unique two bed room apartment is centrally located in the historical neighbourhood of "Madragoa". It’s tugged away in a car-free street, on the first upper floor, of a classic Portuguese house, which has been beautifully restored.

The apartment (68 sqm) has a spacious and light-filled living room, an open kitchen and two bedrooms.

Most of Lisboa’s highlights are in walking distance! You have convenient access to public transport and easy access to the airport by taxi in less than 20 minutes.

The Place:
The tasteful apartment is located in the first floor of a beautiful historic town house built in 1870 and has been totally refurbished this year. It’s unique building structure with exceptional high ceilings and unique windows are combined with modern and airy interior design. I combined some design classics with some portuguese vintage pieces and kept the place light and open.

The 68 sqm apartment offers two beautiful bedrooms, facing the quiet courtyard. Each comes with a double bed and high quality mattress so you can explore all of Lisbon well-rested! The sunny living room with it’s three wonderful frontside windows is the place to enjoy a glass of Vinho Verde, after exploring the city’s vibrant life or the nearby beaches. The brand new bathroom and kitchen are fully equipped and offer every modern comfort.

Neighbourhood

The historical neighbourhood „Madragoa“ with it’s traditional buildings and small streets has kept crowds and the traffic away. It has the authentic vibe of Lisbons life and the citys highlights are within walking distance.
Madragoa is part of the „Santos“ district, one of the favourite riverfront districts in old Lisbon. It offers a unique mix between traditional Portuguese life and a young urban vibe, that attracts students, artists and designers to live here. The result is a mundane mix of Portuguese taverns and traditional cafe bars with new restaurants, concept stores and art galleries.

The Location:
Public transport and car rentals nearby:
-„Santos” train station (500m) offers direct connections to MAAT, Belém, Alcântara and Cascais (Beaches).
-Cais do Sodre (700m) offers ferry service on Tejo river and metro station.
-Famous Tramway 28 stops just around the corner (300m).
-„Rossio” train station (1500m) provides direct trains to Sintra.
-At Avenida Álvares Cabral (700m) you find car rentals to explore Lisbons beautiful surroundings, the atlantic coastline, beaches and the countryside.

Buzzy restaurants
The lively area offers a great choice of Restaurants just around the corner (My favourites include: A Travessa, Taverna d'Esperanca, Petiscaria Ideal, Mamasan and O Aregos.

You will find great Bars nearby and the busy nightlife districts of Bairro Alto, Principe Real and Cais doSodre within a short walking distance.
