Hello, I'm Claudio Sat, an Argentinian architect based in Lisbon, Portugal.
I'm traveling to NYC in the first two weeks of March 2017 and would love to exchange houses for that period. I'll be accompanied by my business partner so having 2 bedrooms or 2 beds would be ideal.
If you're looking to visit one of oldest, most beautiful and vibrant European capitals, please let me know ASAP!
★★★ NYC trades only, please! ★★★
THE APARTMENT
● A spacious top floor with lots of sunlight all day long with hardwood floors;
● 4th floor of a refurbished mid-20th century building, no elevator;
● Large living room at indoor balcony overlooking gardens;
● Fully-fitted kitchen, including washing machine, stove and oven;
● 2 bedrooms: 1 master bedroom (with double bed and balcony) + 1 bedroom (with bunk beds);
● 1 bathroom, fully-fitted with hot tub.
The the dining table is set just next to two large windows so that, in sunny days (which is most of the year in Lisbon), you can open them up and take in the garden views and warm breezes as you wine and dine.
LOCATION & TRANSPORT
Estrela is a premium location if you wish to explore the ancient beauty of this amazing city. The Basilica da Estrela, a beloved 18th century church and convent, is a mere 3 minute walk away, right in front of the famous Estrela Garden - one of the most treasured gems for nature lovers, joggers, and all sorts of artists. It's also a prime spot for yoga.
If you wish to move on to other parts of town, simply hop on the 28 tram and glide through old Lisbon. The famous Lisbon trams are the oldest for of public transportation here and very much still in use today. It will take you all the way to the Sao Jorge castle and Alfama, with its numerous Fado houses.
You will also go through the Bairro Alto area, a good place for trendy restaurants and bars, and to have a drink overlooking the capital and the Tagus river. Not to mention the Parliament; the Prazeres cemetery; the Campo de Ourique market; Praca do Comercio and Cais do Sodré, from where the Portuguese explorers set sail to discover the world,... I could go on. Trust me, you will be sad when you leave. I've lived here for 20 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
As I mentioned, I'm traveling to NYC on business with my partner on the first two weeks of March - that's a little over than a month and a half away. Please let me know ASAP if you're available to visit this most beautiful, mesmerizing city.
iGracias!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
