About our home

This town house is our holiday home in Portugal, located within the Praia Del Rey resort in a private condominium of 28 houses. The house overlooks the shared swimming pool for the use of the 28 residents and their guest and the 10th fairway from the 1st floor terrace. The small size of the condominium of only 28 houses of which only 20% are usually occupied ensures a quite and relaxing area around the pool and gardens. The property has been stylishly decorated and offers 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large open plan living/dining room and a well equipped kitchen. Aside from the first class golf facilities, the resort has a 7 court tennis centre, children playground and unspoiled sandy beaches, plus there is a Club Adventura outdoor activity centre which offers paint-balling, quad biking, orienteering, surfing and archery for for older children.

We are Richard and Pasqueline, a married couple living in Ireland with two boys 13 and 11 and this is our holiday home in Portugal, would like to exchange our house in sunny Portugal for locations in Kerry Ireland during the school holidays.

Where is it?

Within a 5 minute stroll from the property is the golf club house and the 5* Marriott hotel and Spa with its choice of bars and restaurants.
While Praia Del Rey is a renowned championship golf course, you should visit the other courses in the region, Golden Eagle, Oitavos (Quinta da Marinha 2nd course), Belas, Lisbon Sports Club, Aroeira and Ribagolfe. In Silver Coast area, some of the country's most impressive architecture, historical and religious sites in Portugal, Tomar is only a 45 min drive. On the coastline, nearly empty beaches mix with quaint fishing towns and villages, of which Nazaré is one of the finest example. Obidos, the medieval walled town with beautiful cobbled streets, ancient churches and a good selection of restaurants and craft shops is 15 min by car. Peniche, fishing port, with excellent seafood restaurants and boat trips to the nearby Berlanga Islands, a nature reserve. Lisbon centre is about 1 hr away by car where you can take in a match at Benfica or Sporting Lisbon stadiums Fatima is located 45 minutes drive to the east this small town is one of the worlds most visited Marian shrine.
