Where is it?

Vilamoura was originally a Roman port, the ruins are a short distance away.
A popular holiday resort, with a marina, five world class golf courses, tennis clubs and beautiful beaches.
There are many shops, restaurants, bars as well as banks and a post office within walking distance of our apartment.
Vilamoura is on the migratory route making it ideal for bird watching.
Faro airport is a 20 minute drive away.
There are good rail and coach services.
The Spanish border is 70kms from Vilamoura.
Lisbon and many Portuguese and Spanish cities are easily accessable.
As is North Africa, the ferry crosses near Gibraltar.
