Our lovely home in the mountains of Central Portugal is a uniquely and artistically built split level design Bungalow.
Built in the attractive local stone with thick walls the house remains cool in the hot summers and warm in the winter.
The main entrance from a quiet lane is through an open courtyard into the upper level.
It has 3 double bedrooms on this level all with arched windows looking over the garden with views of the surrounding forested mountains and a good sized bathroom with modern shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet.
The lower level reached by 4 steps has an office area, large cloakroom/bathroom with bath, washbasin and toilet.
The spacious lounge area with large modern wood fired stove leads through French doors onto a double sided covered verandah and patio area.
The stone clad lounge also leads through an archway into a wide and bright kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well fitted throughout with fitted cupboards with granite tops, large fridge, freezer, dish washer, gas oven and hob, washing machine, bar fridge etc. the dining room furniture seats 8/10 in comfort and is made from Rhodesian Teak.
The house is tiled throughout and features wooden beamed ceilings.
The patio leads down through the landscaped garden and colourful garden to the saline treated pool and patio area. The garden and pool are very private being secluded and not overlooked.
At the bottom of the garden is the tiled garage which doubles as a boathouse as there is a safe and private parking garden standing outside the main gate.
The newly built 17ft. Sailing dinghy and trailer would be available for use by agreement as there are lovely lakes nearby and the coast only just over an hour away.
